Monthi Feast was solemnly celebrated today at Sacred Heart Church Vorkady. Fr. Basil Vas the Parish priest was the main celebrant. He insisted on unity in the family for which Faith, Humility and sharing are preconditions after the examples of Mother Mary.
 
New Corns were blessed at the church gate and a solemn procession proceeded to the church followed by solemn high mass. More than thousand people took part in the liturgy. After the mass winners of the Bible Quiz and Anti Drug  Poster competition were honoured. It was also decided that people take active participation in the Biblothon. At the church before half an hour of everyday mass 3 chapters would be read.  Payasam mixed with new corn and Sugarcane were distributed to all.
