On October 13, 2024, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Vorkady, hosted an exhilarating volleyball and throwball tournament for parishioners, organized by the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM). The volleyball match, held for the men’s category, saw fierce competition among four wards. Thimmangur II Ward claimed the championship, with Vorkady II Ward securing second place, followed by Kaliyur Ward and Vorkady I Ward in third and fourth positions, respectively. The event showcased the athletic talents and team spirit of the participating wards.

In the women’s category, a thrilling throwball match was held. Pavoor Ward emerged as the champion, with Uddanbettu Ward taking the runner-up position. Kalimanja Ward and Vorkady I Ward secured third and fourth places, respectively. The tournament was marked by enthusiasm and healthy rivalry, further strengthening the sense of unity and fellowship among the parishioners.
