On October 6, 2024, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Vorkady, witnessed an exciting Tug of War competition for parishioners, organized by the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) and the brothers of St. Joseph’s Seminary. Fourteen wards participated in the event, with separate categories for men and women. In the women's category, Kalimanja Ward emerged victorious, followed by Thimmangur I, Kaliyur, and Kedumbady Wards. In the men’s category, Kalimanja Ward claimed first place, with Kaliyur, Vorkady II, and Borkala Wards securing the next positions. The event brought the community together in spirited competition and camaraderie.
