Catholic Sabha Vorkady unit and Health commission of the Sacred Heart Church Vorkady jointly organised the Day of the Elders and the sick on 19th of May 2024. The program was named as Day of health or bolaikecho dees. First there were confessions for the sick and old. Solemn mass was at 10 am. The program was held in the hall after mass. The mass was celebrated by Fr Santhosh DSouza asst PP. There was a short felicitation program and motivational talk by Mrs Usha Maria DSouza of Urwa.

Parish Priest Fr Basil Vas presided over the program who in turn thanked the Catholic Sabha and health commission for organizing this program. Asst Parish priest Fr Santhosh DSouza, secretary of the parish pastoral council, Mrs Sandhya D'Souza, president of the Catholic Sabha Mr Ashok DSouza, secretary Mr Roshan D'Souza, Convener of the health commission Mrs Leena Tellis, Superior of St Joseph's convent Sr Monthi Gomes, repr, of Holy Face convent Sr Severine, donor Mr Santhosh Sequeira, Dr Steven D Souza, and Mrs Usha Maria DSouza, the resource person were all present on the dais. Dr Steven DSouza, Mrs Usha Maria DSouza and sponsor Mr Santhosh Sequeira were felicitated for their great achievements and service to the society.

There was a non-vegetarian meal prepared by the Catholic Sabha members for all those who were present. All were presented with a bath towel. Almost 200 people participated in the program.
